IN THIS VIDEO I’M GOING TO SHOW YOU How to EASILY use HYDROGEN PEROXIDE for HERPES & COLD SORES
Cold sores are caused by a virus, but not the kind that makes you sniffle and sneeze. Instead, they happen because of an infection with the herpes simplex virus
An outbreak typically causes small blisters or sores on or around the mouth. The first infection may have the symptoms of swollen glands, a general feeling of being unwell and painful mouth ulcers. The sores typically heal within 2 to 3 weeks, but the herpes virus remains dormant WITHIN THE BODY.
Most often, cold sores occur because of physical or mental stress. Anxiety about an upcoming wedding, job interview, or other special event in your life will create stress. This stress will affect your pH balance, your hormones, and your immune system. Quite often illnesses such as cold and flu will also trigger a cold sore.
Home Treatment
Hydrogen peroxide can be used as a cleansing antiseptic to prevent infection of the sores and to promote healing. To use hydrogen peroxide on cold sores, it should be mixed with an equal amount of water. The solution can be swished around the mouth if this is where cold sores are located, or it can be applied to the sores on the outside of the face using a cotton swab.
To do this
• Saturate one end of a cotton swab in the solution.
• Dab the cotton swab on the affected skin.
• Leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with water.
• Repeat 4 times each day for 4 days to observe the sores disappear almost completely.
The peroxide may cause bubbling and some pain or tingling when applied. The solution should not be applied or swished so vigorously that it dislodges a scab. Instead, the peroxide should be used during the blister phase up until the early scab phase. The soft scab that still seems wet should not be treated with peroxide, as this can only prolong the existence of the sore.
Considerations
Hydrogen peroxide will not prevent new blisters nor will it make an individual any less contagious. The solution should only be used under the recommendation of a health care professional. Remember never to digest hydrogen peroxide. Other methods of home treatment may be more effective or preferred, such as applying ice packs or mixing baking soda or salt with water to form a paste. The paste can be applied to the skin to help to dry the sore. Click on the link to see home remedies for cold sores (I WILL INSERT A LINK IN THE VIDEO).
