Lucie and Isobel's story

Every day, around 600 seriously ill children arrive at GOSH from all over the UK, like Lucie and Isobel.

Lucie had heart failure when she was just two. She needed a machine (called an ECMO) to take over the work of her heart and lungs. This gave GOSH doctors the time to consider what to do next. Lucie’s family had to go through this same trauma just a few years later with her little sister Isobel.

Support our Time for Tiny Hearts Appeal to help us raise £85,000 for new vital medical technology. This will buy precious time for critically ill children like Lucie and Isobel:
