Another delightful way to consume garlic when you have a cold is by grating one clove and mixing it with honey. By consuming it raw and chewing the garlic, you activate the production of allicin. Some believe that allicin is responsible for garlic’s immune-boosting properties.
I personally like to consume 1 raw garlic clove with honey to boost my immune system when I have a cold or flu symptoms.
