YOU CAN’T CLEANSE AWAY FATTY LIVER (#shorts)
Many people are under the impression that the liver can be ‘cleansed’ by taking a variety of pills, elixirs or supplements which claim to be able to rid or ‘cleanse’ the liver of various toxins, impurities and substances which may be residing there.
The fact is, there’s not a product on the market that has been approved or shown to be able to ‘clean up the liver.’
Cleaning up IS the liver’s job! The liver performs 1000’s of chemical reactions and is involved in 500 or more metabolic functions of the body, breaking down drugs, and various toxins and helping to eliminate them from the body, while manufacturing a host of substances that the body requires in order to survive.
The liver is smart…and it’s going to handle the substances thrown its direction, in it’s own unique way…regardless of whether our intentions are well-meaning or not.
The only process that’s been shown to reverse NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) is weight loss, and limiting foods and products which promote fat storage in the liver, such as processed carbohydrates and excess sugars.
The liver deserves more credit than it’s given. I don’t think you and me are going to outsmart it.
Be wary of products and supplements from the internet or anywhere else that make unsubstantiated claims about what they’re capable of doing. Many of these products are not only ineffective…but some can be downright dangerous as well.
